BIRTH IN POWER - CHILDBIRTH ED. FOR THE MODERN PARENT
SMALL GROUP + PRIVATE OPTIONS AVAILABLE

The eight-session Birth In Power group education series will reveal to you the childbearing continuum as it has evolved over the past few hundred years to modern day - from birthing alone in our own homes to birthing in hospitals in front of entire medical teams. The series explores the basics of birth and postpartum recovery, and the many ways in which these experiences can unfold for modern day mothers. Natural, undisturbed, physiologic birth is emphasized as the ideal foundational birth scenario, and the truth about how and why giving birth in a hospital by default isn’t conducive to a safe and healthy birth experience will be explored. Best for families choosing to birth outside of the system, or with a midwife at home or in a birth center.

Includes 16 hours of mentorship in the form of eight two-hour sessions, plus home study opportunities to dive deeper into the content.

NEST + REST: PLANNING FOR THE FOURTH TRIMESTER
Small GROUP + PRIVATE OPTIONS AVAILABLE

The Innate Traditions’ Planning for the Fourth Trimester series focuses on the Five Essentials of Postpartum Care. These Five Essentials of Postpartum Care are found throughout the world’s ancient postpartum traditions and are deeply rooted in women’s physiologic and psychologic needs postpartum, which remain unchanged despite shifts in societal behavior.

The first four classes of the series happen prenatally. Information/education about postpartum physiology and psychology is shared, and each family is supported to develop a postpartum plan that meets their unique needs. The fifth and final class happens in the postpartum period. If taken in a group setting, the families that participated together in the first four classes meet again, once everyone is at least six weeks postpartum. The purpose of this final class is for mothers and fathers to be witnessed and celebrated by this community. In this way, we bring honor and a layer of completion to our rites of passage into motherhood and fatherhood.

This series was designed for mothers, families and their support people to take between 25-35 weeks gestation. In this way, the class series will ideally be completed before mother’s probable window of giving birth, allowing ample time to create a postpartum plan and create or fortify her community support.
